Sian Rees - The Floating Brothel
I'm currently reading this book. As you can probably tell by the title, it deals with the stories of women convicts who were transported to Australia. (Some of you may have seen the TV program based on the book that Mil posted about a few years back.)
It also gives some idea of what transport agents and naval personnel assigned to convict ships had to deal with.
