Post Duguay-Trouin/Implacable
Implacable in 1920

Always sad to see a ship in poor condition. :(

In better shape: 1926
(Someone needs to tell them she's not a frigate...)

I have the honour to be, &c.

The end of Implacable.

A reader asks in the Daily Mail today "was a case to preserve it with the Victory ever made?"

Does anyone know the answer?

There were certainly cases made for preservation. Even the French were interested. They foundered on the money question. She was suffering from serious timber decay problems.
