Post David Donachie: Enemies at Every Turn
"Enemies at Every Turn" by David Donachie

NO SPOILERS BELOW

This is the eighth in the John Pearce series by Donachie. As I have said in the past: I like this author and I like this series. I have also expressed my desire for this series to end so that the good and the bad will get their just deserts. I realize that Donachie would not share my desire -- which is certainly very understandable. I must admit that I'm more than a bit conflicted since, upon finishing one, I cannot wait to read the next.

One thing I really admire in this book is the author's masterful blending of old story lines and old characters into the current escapade. I believe that nearly every significant character in the first seven books is, at the very least, given a nod in this novel. I really enjoyed this. Well done, Sir!
