It is some sort of hazing process, right?

I downloaded a file of required size and dimensions and that didn't work.

I linked to a URL of the proper dimensions.

No joy wth either.

I do note with some internal mirth that instead I have been assigned the International code flag "Victor" (a red x on a white field) which the Signal Manual decrypts to mean "request for assistance."

Hi CAPTCaltrop,

I received your email about the problem. Can you please tell me what the error message was, specifically?

It is about 20 lines of text starting, "WARNING copy (copy/avatars/...[numbers and letters] ) failed to open stream... :Permission. denied..." That's when I try to browze in a file.

When I provide URL nothing happens, it just doesn't take.

Thanks.

I am not sure what the problem is. I will look into it.

You will tell us when we can post our avatar, won't you?

Same problem here. Gah!

I got that same error message when uploading from my machine. Then when I put my picture online and inserted the URL, it gave me a successful-sounding message, "Your profile has been updated," but still no picture.

(I knew I shouldn't have chosen an imaginary invisible picture! What was I thinking?) 8)

Ooooh! For a split second there, it was showing a little box with an X where my avatar should go! So at least it knew that there was something there! :D

Yes, bad. I will ask Nick (the fellow who helps me with the tech stuff) again.

I have an avatar, it just happens to be an invisible man.
