Post Julian Stockwin: Invasion
"Invasion" by Julian Stockwin

I just finished reading this tenth novel in the Thomas Kydd series. McBooks Press, in the September-October issue of their newsletter "Quarterdeck" offers a review of this book and an interesting interview with the author.
Click Here for that information (in pdf format).

The Author's Notes in "Invasion" reveals that the series will be at least 20 books (which I mentioned earlier). Frankly, I am impatient for Kydd's career to get going.

Stockwin also reveals that he has consulted an expert in Georgian speech patterns. I know that Mary and I (and maybe others here) do not like Kydd's speech. In my case, written dialects are just inconsistent from author to author as well as difficult to understand. But... at least Stockwin has made an honest attempt to get it historically correct.

..... and, thank heavens, at the point where I am up to, Kydd has taken himself off for elocution lessons! ;)
