Post Alexander Kent: In the King's Name
I just finished the latest in Adam Bolitho's adventures. By my count, this is the 28th Bolitho novel (depending on how the Midshipman short stories are considered).

No Spoilers below

It is amazing how many of the "ghosts" from the past continue to appear, in addition to all the direct references to Richard. Kent/Reeman continues to develop Adam and all the other characters aboard the frigate "Onward". This is a close sequel to the previous novel titled "Heart of Oak" and begins shortly after Adam has married.

Set in 1819 when many RN ships are being sent to the breakers or put into ordinary, Adam and his "Onward" crew are sent to Freetown in West Africa with dispatches. Once there, he is thrust into local matters resulting in some interesting adventures.
