Post Steam packets

From The Times, June 16, 1823:

".... On Wednesday morning, about four o'clock, the Royal George steam-packet, established to convey the mails and passengers from this place and Falmouth, to Corunna, Lisbon, Seville, and Cadiz, arrived at Spithead, from the River, and sailed again immediately on her first passage to those places. The vessel is of 300 tons burden, and the engine of 80-horse power. It is expected she will go at the rate of ten miles an hour, under all circumstances - Hampshire Telegraph. ....."

From The Times, April 19th, 1817 in news from Hamburgh, dated April 9th:

".... The steam packet the Courier arrived here happily yesterday evening, with passengers, from Berlin. The passage was made in 35½ hours, not including stopping. It probably well return this week to Berlin ....."

Does anyone, with more knowledge than I of Germany, know how far that voyage is, and thus convert the vessel's speed?

I must admit the mention of it arriving "happily" made me smile. I had visions of the vessel with a big grin across the bows. ;)
