Post Fashion - not naval

I love this colourful description of the Parisian male fashion.

The Times, June 13th, 1786:

" .... The fashionable full dress for a man in Paris is as follows. The coat and waistcoat are a spring-velvet, lemon-coloured ground, with green stripes, and lilac spots. The buttons are enamelled and spotted with the same colour as the velvet ground, and set with white stones. Black florentine breeches, close to the thighs, are quite a-la-mode under such cloaths. The knee buckles are square, those of the shoes oval. White feather in the chapeau-bas is still in fashion. ...."

Is anyone artistic enough to produce this colourful image and post to the forum?
