Post Maurice Druon: Accursed Kings
Has anyone read the "Accursed Kings" series by Maurice Druon? Any comments?

They were originally published starting in the 1950's in the French language. While the first six novels were eventually translated into English, the seventh (published in 1977) was never translated until recently. Harper Collins has been re-publishing these starting in 2013.

The novels cover the Capetian Kings of France from Philip IV (the Iron King) through the first two Valois kings (ending with John II).

The "curse" begins when Philip IV destroys the Knights Templar.

I highly recommend this.
