Post Master and Commander II?
Ahoy,

in an other forum I found a short text:

Quote:
Master & Commander Sequel: Rumors

July 2nd 2004 -
The Sun is reporting that Russell Crows will be in a sequel to the movie Master & Commander The Far side of the World.(...)

AUSSIE actor RUSSELL CROWE has signed up for a follow-up to Napoleonic Wars epic Master & Commander: The Far Side Of The World. The new film, called Post Captain, is also based on a novel by Patrick O?Brian.

But, here in Germany the information about such films are very rare.

Is it just a rumor, that a second Master and Commander will come soon?

I hope you are right William. My copy of Master and Commander is just about worn out.

Was discussing this with my Rose shipmate & we were wondering, what vessel would be used now that the "Surprise" has been all de-Hollywoodized again. And, does anyone know what happened to the replica ship they built in the tank, for the movie?? Is it in storage somewhere or did it get dismantled, or what?

According to Brad, there is some sort of agreement with the MMSD. I'll try to get more details.

Well, as the article says, they can always go with a different director if they really want to do the movie.

I'll vote for James Cameron. "Master & Avatar 2: The Far Side of the Galaxy". HMS Surprise sails the oceans of Pandora, where they discover an island of friendly blue natives. The crew mutinies because they want to stay...
Oh, wait. I'm confused...
