Post Film guide to the "days of sail"
I came across this interesting link on RN's Navy News. Section 9 is devoted to the days of sail.

Who's seen/owns any from that list? ...... Anything of interest to discuss from the list?

I think they need to update that list (no M&C). I've actually seen a lot of the films mentioned. :shock:

I'm not quite sure why they included Ironclads. If I remember correctly, there are brief bits with some of the U.S. vessels still under sail being fired upon but not enough for it to be called a "Days of Sail" movie. I could be wrong's been a while since I've seen it.

Admiral Nakhimov sounds interesting.

I saw a silent B&W short of The Man Without a Country on TV not too long ago. I wasn't aware they had made a newer version.
